This brief video describes the benefits
of donating to The Luminous Endowment
The Luminous Endowment for Photographers is about both giving and receiving. Givers will also receive.
The Luminous Endowment is a not-for-profit charity under section 501(c)(3) of the United States tax code.
As a U.S. based charity The Luminous Endowment issues charitable donation receipts to U.S. tax payers. Anyone outside the US who pays withholding tax on their US-based investments may also take advantage of such receipts.
We will issue a charitable donation receipt to every donor, anywhere in the world, but it is the recipient's responsibility to determine whether their donation is regarded as tax deductible by the authorities in their country.
To ensure donors that their money is being well spent on grants, we intend on making available details of our financial operations. All donations will be invested in an insured investment fund which will be used to generate income for grants to photographers world-wide.

A $100 donation will make you an annual supporter. You will receive a gift each year of a The Luminous Endowment Annual, a book to be published yearly by Lenswork Publishing. It will contain images, and stories about them from the projects which received Luminous Endowment awards in the preceding year.
You will be contacted annually to renew your subscription donation and receive the next year's Annual book.
The first edition of the annual will appear in 2015. But, the first 400 annual donation subscribers will immediately receive a copy of “Mexico – The Light and the Warmth”, a new soft-cover Monograph by Michael Reichmann, published by Lenswork. This book consists of some 65 pages of images taken by Michael in Mexico during the past four years.
Only 400 copies are available anywhere, and when they are gone this book will be out-of-print.
Multiple donations, or donations with gifts
going to others, are most welcome.
Donations of more than $500 are most welcome, as are donations from corporate sponsors.
Individual or Corporate donors of $35,000 or more will have the right to create "named" grants.
